Relative density (water=1): 2.3-2.4, bulk density: 0.9-1.2, autoignition temperature: 250 ℃.

Sodium hydrosulfite is a kind of strong reducing agent, which has good stability when stored in a dry closed container. When heated to above 75 ℃, it will decompose, release heat and release sulfur dioxide. When the temperature reaches 250 ℃, sodium hydrosulfite can ignite and spontaneously ignite, resulting in its own redox reaction. The decomposition of sodium hydrosulfite in humid air will be accompanied by heat release; When placed in the atmosphere, it will be oxidized by the oxygen in the atmosphere. Sodium hydrosulfite rapidly decomposes in aqueous solution with PH value less than 5, but it is quite stable in alkaline medium (preferably buffer solution), but it can also be decomposed into sulfide under strong alkaline conditions.

Uses: It is widely used in the textile industry as a reducing agent for vat dye dyeing, a reducing bleaching agent, a printing auxiliary for vat dyes, a refining and bleaching agent for silk, a stripping agent for dyed fabrics, and a cleaning agent for dye vats. In the paper industry, it is used as a bleaching agent for mechanical pulp, thermo mechanical pulp and deinked pulp. It is the most suitable bleaching agent for wood pulp papermaking. As a reducing bleaching agent, sodium hydrosulfite is widely used in kaolin bleaching, fur bleaching and reducing whitening, bamboo and straw products bleaching, etc. It is used in mineral processing, synthesis of thiourea and sulfide, etc. It is used as a reducing agent in the chemical industry.

The food additive sodium dithionite (sodium hydrosulfite) is used as a bleaching agent, preservative and antioxidant in the food industry, and is widely used as a bleaching agent and food preservative for candied fruits, dried fruits, dried vegetables, vermicelli, glucose, sugar, rock sugar, malt sugar, candy, liquid glucose, bamboo shoots, mushrooms and canned mushrooms. The scope and maximum amount of use shall be in accordance with the National Food Safety Standard for the Use of Food Additives (GB2760).

Storage and transportation: The insurance powder shall be stored in a cool, ventilated, dry and covered warehouse to avoid direct sunlight. Keep away from fire and heat sources. Do not contact with water or steam, and do not get wet. It shall not be mixed with oxidants, acids or other inflammables. The whole barrel shall be used as much as possible each time. If it cannot be used up at one time, it shall be taken as soon as possible. The unused part shall be immediately tied up in the inner bag, sealed with the lid, properly stored and used up as soon as possible. The warehouse shall be equipped with dry powder fire extinguisher, fire claw hook and water source as required, and an appropriate amount of gas masks (No. 7 yellow gas filter).

The insurance powder shall be transported by any covered or covered means of transportation. During transportation, it shall be loaded and unloaded with care to prevent damage to the packaging container. The damaged packaging shall be replaced or properly handled immediately. The packaging barrel shall not be inverted or collided during transportation, and the sealing of the packaging shall be maintained to prevent moisture, rain, direct sunlight, and mixed transportation with acids, oxidants, etc.

Packaging: The sodium hydrosulfite (sodium hydrosulfite) and the food additive sodium hydrosulfite (sodium hydrosulfite) are packed in iron drums with tightly sealed inner lined double layer plastic bags (the plastic bags should be double bound).
